Swansea Bay University Health Board “LOV” awards 2023

The 2023 Living Our Values Awards celebrated health board staff who have gone above and beyond in delivering excellent care and services over the past year.

Held at the recently renamed Swansea Building Society Arena, this event reflected over the past 12 months acknowledging the sacrifices and efforts made by everyone whether they’re staff, student or volunteer and no matter what part of the organisation they work in.

Having supported this event over the last 7 years, Total Sound Solutions were once again brought onboard to support their A.V. requirements. The planning for the awards started months in advance as our A.V. team set out a 3-month programme, video recording and interviewing all of the 44 nominees in their specific workplaces, around South Wales. Once the footage was captured, we then set about editing the footage for bite sized clips to be used on the night of the awards. Working with a voiceover artist, the clips were then produced, ready to be shown during the evening.

Having prepared the Video montages, we then looked at adding some glitz and glamour to the awards night. To compliment the Arenas lighting package, we added some of our lighting fixtures including Parcans, Moving Heads Spot & Wash and spotlights, all controlled by our lighting engineer using our Avolites Tiger Touch desk. We were also commissioned to produce Lighting Gobos, to project the awards logo around the arena, during the event.

To ensure that the Videos and presentations were displayed to all guests, we installed one of our P4.6 LED screen to showcase the event. Our A.V. engineer ran the show content using our Roland V-80 video mixer backed up with QLab

Once the event was finished, our team was on hand to strike the show and start looking at how we add a different feel to the next awards night.
